Every detail was impeccable. The freshness of the white bouquets matched the garden’s row of white roses and the intricately jeweled belt was the perfect accessory for the bride’s delicate lace gown. But for Kaylan & Troy, it was clear that their day was all about the people; the people that had loved them since the start, endured with them through their best and worst, and the people who rejoiced with them over finding the love of their lives.
Amidst the stunning California hillside and in front of their dearest family and friends, Kaylan and Troy shared their vows. They spoke sweetly of loving each other forever, in sickness and in health, and more personally, about celebrating with each other or comforting one another whether the 49er’s won or lost.
The knee-slapping highlight for many was the father-of-the-bride’s toast, which he kindly warned would be long. As the father of two girls, he spoke of the curious and confusing experience of raising daughters — from birth to soccer practice; through bad grades and boyfriends; to hearing her say she’s found “the one”. Through it all, endured the proud fact that he’d raised an amazing woman who found a wonderful man to share her life with, and that he’d still be there for all of the confusing and wonderful moments to come.
Kaylan is my oldest friend. Our parents were friends in college and for me, she’s that one friend everyone has that was at the hospital the day they were born. I couldn’t feel more honored to have captured this beautiful day for her and her sweet husband. I am so grateful to hold such a wonderful person so close to my heart & to see her so happy!
Kaylan’s nana, Billy, made the SWEETEST flower girl!!
